When animal house came out in theatres, i saw it as a freshman in hs and a very cool manager let me and a friend in knowing we were just 16 The whole raunchy college movie thing has been done for younger audiences since that i find much funnier. I may have this memory mixed up with another movie from the same era though

Just came across a couple of accounts of a scene from national lampoon's animal house that apparently was cut from all future prints after the movie's original wide release in 1978. I think i like the idea of animal house more than the movie itself because it was one of the first “adult” movies i ever watched 20+ years ago This is a classic comedy but you can't judge the content by today's standards

Animal house is a sexist movie I only saw the end where the deltas, the so called heros destroy the homecoming parade, but that was all i could take if that movie It was appalling wanton destruction for selfish reasons, women being objectified left and right, and yes a child is sexually taken advantage of by an adult man.
