On the front panel, the lights flash in an alternating pattern (actually, it will acknowledge a remote command if i push the remote button 50 or 60 times until it takes, but for all practical purposes, it is as if it does not want to recognize the remote). We replaced the internal hard drive a few weeks ago by ourselves, because the tivo kept rebooting and the front panel light pattern seemed to indicate a problem with the original drive.

The tivo turns on like normal with the welcome start up screen, then all lights on the front of the tivo start flashing together (red, blue, orange, green) and the welcome screen doesnt advance The actual tivo box would flash a little red light on it's front panel when it acknowledged a remote command, but that is no longer happening The fan is on, i replaced the hard drive with a green power hard drive that had been working fine for.
I unplugged the power cord and after a period of time i plugged it back in.the tv screen again said tivo starting up and a singlegreen light was on.about 30 seconds later all the lights started flashing and the unit never started

I followed the steps to clear out the regular roamio remote's memory, and it works in ir mode perfectly with the mini However, while using the regular roamio remote with.
