Here's the problem, the stihl setting gage seems to set the air gap too tight, like 0.004 measured between the ignition module arms and the flywheel magnets using a feeler gage set I am currently troubleshooting a hard start problem and found this discrepancy when i took. It seems as though the center coil pick up on the ignition module has a wider air gap

Th350 stock converter to a blueprint 350 W/ bp flexplate (new) i have done the research and just wanted to confirm what i have read online with the knowledge base here When i go to bolt the tc and the flywheel together, there is a gap of.210 as measured with feeler gauges (see pic below).

That is a bit more than i would like Ok, or do i have to buy file fit that cost a fortune The plug gap is a little small for that mild of a motor In fact when i first started running msd ignitions
An a 350 built up not much more than yours, and i ran a 0.045 plug gap for 3 yrs
I think the example from msd below is a little wide in my opinion. The air gap has bolt holes between the intake ports My cylinder heads don't have those I'd probably have to weld those shut
Port matching might be an issue I did notice that air flow research has introduced a new dual plane magnum intake for rec port bbc It's 1/4 inch taller however Not sure of the availability

Manual recommends.008 to.012 (.2 to.3 mm) My factory set gap is currently at.004 (.012 mm)
